I met Desire just as the COVID crisis was starting to hit Perth.  We nervously discussed their wedding plans at the picturesque Sandalford Winery and was full of hope that their beautiful day would go ahead just as planned.  I am so delighted and relieved for them that it could go ahead without any sign of COVID in sight, phew!  (I still feel for the 2020 brides who had to deal with the added stress of a health pandemic on top of everything else they had to worry about).

It was the most beautiful day, in one of the most beautiful settings in the Swan Valley, Sandalford Winery, when Desire got to marry her Jack, her prince charming – finally!  I remember her saying that she was bowled over when Jack finally proposed to her.  She could not believe that she, had hooked ‘this guy’, the guy of her dreams.  (All the while I was thinking how lucky he was!).  But, when I saw the emotional Jack being supported by his brothers, at the end of the isle as he looked at his beautiful bride walking towards him, I knew he realized that he was in fact the lucky one.

This wedding was another chapter in a sweet love story but also a wonderful family affair.  The couple’s parents had just as great a time celebrating with their friends.  It was great to see to many of mum and dad’s friends there – it actually reminded me a little bit of my own wedding, where our parents had a bigger say in the guest list than we did – hahaha.

I loved the colour scheme of this wedding.  The flowers were stunning!  (I still can’t believe the mother of the bride did all the flowers!).  The single big protea in the center was a great little throw back to Desire’s roots.  The styling form the bridesmaids dresses through to the venue was elegant and stylish.  Just perfectly fitting.

Anyhow, enough from me, here are some of my favourite photos from this elegant wedding – A wonderful recollection to share for many, many years to come.

Enjoy ;-)
