Finally I have a moment to share this beautiful wedding day with you! Some of you may not have heard of a Nikola Estate wedding yet but it’s the former Houghton Winery. Adriana and Liam could not have picked a better day! We had the entire grounds to ourselves which in my books is always a bonus as we don’t have to fight for photo spots with another wedding party ;-)
I was so delighted when Adriana and Liam asked to meet me at the venue prior to the day to ask my opinion of where the best place would be to set up for the ceremony. You’ll find most venues allocate an area to you but as Nikola is such a big estate and we did not have to compete with another wedding, we literally could go wherever we wanted based on the lighting and “look”.
When I first met with Adriana and Liam for a coffee and a chat, we pretty much hit it off straight away and bonded over our love for travel… and yes, I am very optimistic that very soon things will return to our normal way of living, where a flight is merely a tick in our holiday list of things to do.
Liam chose Crown as his location for getting ready and I’m sure the boys made full use of the venue!
Adriana got ready in the comfort of her usual surroundings, at home. The crisp white walls and neutral colours worked perfectly. Adriana wanted to surprise her dad with a “First Look” and it was well worth it as the moment was beautiful and emotional.
The ceremony was heartful and warming and after the quickest family photo session in history, we raced to capture some magical moments between the newly weds in the setting sunlight. You’ll be amazed what you can do in a very small timeframe if you are organized and well prepared and have a couple willing to speed walk, high heels and all.
Well done to the vendor team on the day, everything went as planned and looked amazing!
